Description

I drew this work while I was hospitalized due to gastroparesis.

Through this drawing, I wanted to tell my story — what I was living through, and what I was feeling.

The intense, constant physical pain, and the psychological suffering that accompanies it, when the body can no longer perform something as fundamental as eating.

This work is the record of a passage.

A journey through learning how to manage pain, how to contain frustration, how to adapt to a body that has become unpredictable.

It is also a tribute.

A profound expression of gratitude to the doctors who fought to help me, proposing therapies that were often experimental, improbable treatments, and even a gastric pacemaker.

Even though none of these methods produced the hoped-for results.

Even though nothing has cured me so far.

This drawing tells my story.

Not as a healing, but as a path.

A journey into an organ that has become a territory of struggle, endurance, and persistence.
