Sur la Route

Between 2021 and 2022, Andrea Lu took part in Sur la Route (On the Road), a travelling exhibition organised by Monteoliveto Gallery and MG Paris in collaboration with Bicycle House and the association Bike for Heritage. True to the gallery’s enduring spirit — always seeking connections between cities, cultures and people — the group exhibition brought together 18 international artists around a resonant shared theme: the road, travel, and movement.

The exhibition’s own journey reflected this idea of displacement, travelling between two cities close to the gallery’s heart. It was first shown at Bicycle House, a vibrant cycling hub nestled within the Galleria Principe di Napoli, steps from the National Archaeological Museum — a space that is both cultural and popular, in direct dialogue with the exhibition’s theme. It then continued its journey to Paris, at the Monteoliveto Gallery Éphémère in the 11th arrondissement.
